Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema is awarded with the 2022 Ballon d’Or prize, following a successful football season, scoring 44 goals in 46 games that helped his team win the Champions League and La Liga in 2021-2022.
Benzema is the first Frenchman to win the Ballon d’Or since 1998. The ceremony took place in France’s capital, Paris, where the striker brought Real Madrid their 14th Champions League trophy just a few months ago.
